I'm sorry, was this attack supposed to scare me? Make me angry? Cause me to seek revenge? Weild knives? Throw breakable things? I must have missed the memo. I was sure that's what I am supposed to be feeling, but now that it comes down to it, I'm going to finish this last chapter and do the sleeping soundly thing in my own bed.

Somehow, I don't see that happening for me. It's one thing to get to the point of wearing a swimsuit, it's another to actually have the mess on my skin displayed to all and sundry. Some things you shouldn't have to explain to the littlies.

I do. And it is progress. However, remember it's selective. Artistic. Only what you want to show. I mean, come on, this is me here. Remember me changing in the bathroom for no other reason than ohmygodNAKED? And you're unaware, but for the most part, I still do. I'm not saying full body shots here. I'm saying...

Sigh. I forget what I was saying. It was meant to be a joke, not for everyone to get all self-loathing over. Should have known better.

For some of us, it's not a self-loathing thing, it's a matter of acceptance. I 'm well aware of my flaws. Every time I take a step, I can't help but be aware. And to be brutally honest here, what everyone sees isn't the ugliest of it. Some stuff just doesn't need to be bandied about in public.

December sounds about right, yeah. And the pale thing is a natural result of my people immigrating and then interbreeding with the Poles and the Germans, and, as Jamie said, the computer thing. I really do get tanner when I leave the house...

I would have liked your input on this project, but in this mood, if I give you my notes you're going to go all super genius on me and I'll have no clue how my own uniform works.

(Yeah. Flaws make us human. It's realising that the flaws are there and there trying to change that makes us better people. And then! When we've changed those flaws, learning to accept what they've become. Which is what I wanted to say.)
